Key Scrambler
Encrypt your web browsing.
When we first heard about Key Scrambler, we were a bit suspicious about how well and how it will encrypt pages. A third party evaluation is always helpful when looking at new software.
Installation of Key Scrambler is pretty straight through. It first asks to check to see if there is any updates before the install begins. During the install, choose which plug-ins are needed for your desired browser.
After the install, if the Firefox plug-in is selected, Firefox will launch and install the plug-in. Remember, restart your computer post install for plug-in to full initialize. After the restart, the only thing that your see running is the Key Scrambler Icon in the start menu bar.
To turn it off, right click and go to KeyScrambler
Off. The icon then turns red symbolizing that it is disabled.
According to the user guide you can turn it off 4 different ways.
However, the Ctrl + Shift + K does not work right out. You have to
set the key strokes. I like the fact that you can set the key
stroke to any combination.
We use Firefox and IE, and we have to say that the encrypting works
well. It encrypts your web address and any logins. The
biggest things that we want, is a portable apps version that we can take
to any computer that we go to. Maybe somebody reading this will
create one. Below is a screen shot of Key Scrambler in the works.
